PG – Biography

The group PG, short for Progressive Grind, was formed off of the love of music, hip hop in particular. They met through mutual friends and instantly hit it off, immediately sharing ideas on music and their vision for the future of hip hop in South Africa. Although proudly South African and African, their ambition reaches the world stage with a distinct sound and universal appeal. Their influences spread across various genres and this colorful influence is reflected in their sound. They connect more authentically with conscious music and great story telling through poetic lyricism. PG is here to challenge the current musical landscape with their unique sound and perspective. They have a burning passion to express their unique viewpoint and are bringing an experience that hasn’t been uncovered on the continent. PG’s sound is very laid back and dynamic but they enjoy switching up to higher energy levels. They are refreshing, unique, cool and progressive!
